At an early season peak of rosters of these two squads I knew their games would be tight between the Bay Brewery and the Hansons and a 6-5 Hansons tilt proved me right! Hansons Matt Carlton was difference maker posting a trickery in the Hanson win! The Wolf Pack would wipe out a two goal third period deficit and nail the shoot-out for the win! Team Captain David Kalman would put his team on the board early in the first and drill a skill shot session tally as the Pack of Wolves come from behind and earn the W! In the Loss Mikey Byrne of Team 40 had something to do with each of his squads goals with two goals and an assist while also lighting the lamp in the shoot out session! Five different skaters would get in on the goal scoring but it was Ryan Brezi of Bergen Beach with a hat-trick! The David Kalman lead Sharks get a first win on the young season in a 5-3 win over the Dragons! Five different skaters hit the mesh but it was David Kalman's goal that held up to be the game winner on a nasty snipe! David Kalman has been making a lot of noise in the Bay this season running two teams while making his debut in the pipes as a league goalie! Posting up a hat trick, his Hansons went on with a 7-3 game one win and are just one game away from a Draft League championship! The Rob Mazuchin lead franchise goes for back to back championships in the Bay and could join the Bay Brewery for second most titles in the Draft play. Mazuchin had little to say about to win as he waxed off his spectacles with a evil grin. 10/11/15 Week 3 Posted! Standings and Stats Updated!

10/10/15 Marine Park in the Shoot Out again, Beach Rats Hustle, All In tackle the opener, Hansons Shoot Out winners as Father and Son Meet! For a second straight night Marine Park would end regulation in a knot! And for a second straight night they would use the skills competition to earn a win as for a second straight night Borris Grinberg would provide the game winner as the Park roll 2-0! Beach Rats would trail 2-1 then score three unanswered for a 4-2 win! Getting scoring from four different skaters 8, 77, J. Jensen and Vinny Delduca would light the lamp. Joey Ristano captain of All In can't remember the last time he lost a draft league game. Still waiting to finish their championship on a 12-0 run he would take his season opener for a thirteenth straight win. Leading 6-0 after one they would hold on for an 8-6 winner. 19 and 71 of All In netted two each in the win. Players names with numbers need to be updated and will be added to site shortly. Hansons also would win their draft opener taking it down in the shoot-out session. Carl Marraco and captain Rob Mazuchin provided the shoot-out punch in the shoot out session for the win. Fitting that both draft season openers were won by the two teams waiting to get their finals done. And now the story of the night goes out to the Adelle family Scott and Tyler! As both played against each other as player and forward, last night both would play against each other on opposite sides of the rink between the pipes! They were needed for two games last night and both games would end in a shoot out, with both games having a similar ending. Father new best in the first match helping Marine Park get the win while letting up none as Son Tyler would seek revenge helping the Hansons stopping all his shooters in the win! Great feat Adelle's and thanks for helping out! All stats and Week 3 will be posted by Sunday morning.

10/8/15 Wolf Pack a Franchise First, Astoria Battle Ready, Marine Park open in a Shoot-Out Win and Bergen Beach Strong! The Wolf Pack would get their first win evening up their record at 1-1 on the season powered by two Travis Gallager goals. Ater trailing 1-0 they would score three unanswered for a 3-1 win! Who were those two masked Astoria forwards? Astoria forwards 89 and 8 put on a clinic in their debut in the Bay. 89 put up a five point night with four goals and an assist as 8 was good for a hat-trick! Their names will be provided shortly as their dance routines were nasty tallying up an 8-6 win for the Astorians! Marine Park and Brown Street ended regulation at knot four as new Marine Park forward Borris Grinberg would be the lone goal scorer in the shoot out as J. Chici slammed the door on all three shoot out attempts for a Marine Park OT SO Win! Bergen Beach would bring it a second straight week posting up six with Nicky Manfredini rolling a trick and adding an assist in the 6-2 victor and a 2-0 record out the gate! Stats and standings by weekends end along with Week 3 schedule posting.

10/7/15 Hansons Soar Back into the Finals, ALL IN Stay Perfect and Ready for the Draft League Championship Meet! With just eighteen tics left in overtime session number one the Hansons Matt Duffy would snipe out the game winner and send the Hansons back to the Draft League Finals for a second straight season. Usually the motion less Matt showed plenty of enthusiasm after the goal as it was a sigh of relief as this contest could of went either way in the back and forth battle. With out a doubt one of the greatest Draft games the Bay has saw this season that almost seen an end on a goal at the buzzer of regulation and fell just shy of a double over time. Chris Brown assisted on all three goals as Matt Duffy netted two with Anthony Doran tying the game early in the third. The Hansons are back in the finals for a second straight season and look to repeat as Champions. But their task will be tall as the will get to greet the undefeated perfect seasonal and playoffs thus far the 12-0 All In force! The team that never stops coming at you didn't stop last night. Trailing 2-1 they would quickly regain the lead on two Kyle Gonnan goals just over a minute apart to take a 3-2 lead after one. Hatrick Swayze would even the score at three only to see Matt Galeano net the next two for a 5-3 lead. Hatrick Swayze would get back within one again only to see Dave Kalman regain the two goal lead back as Hatrick Swazye would make the final minutes of play interesting with a goal at the 2:30 mark of regulation. All In would close this one out with a 6-5 winner and continue there march to perfection! Two wins away as the Kings Bay Cup Draft Finals kicks off next week in the Bay! My final thoughts on this draft season has been nothing short of spectacular. Just take All In, not to take anything away from what they have accomplished there winning their games haven't lost yet but by looking at their record you would expect them to be dominating teams. They are not, they went to over time in the first round of the playoffs against the eight seed and won another one goal game last night. Only two of this seasons draft playoff games were decided by more than one goal and one of the games was due to an injury and three games went to overtime. With that being said hats off to all draft captains this season in doing a great job picking their teams, Great season men!

10/4/15 WEEK 2 POSTED! LETS GO! All team and division standings updated from last weeks games. Still need to get updated attendance from Week 1. 10/1/15 Rain Delay Till Hurricane Joaquin passes through!

10/1/15 Pitbulls get the edge out in the opener, Bergen Beach is Back, Beach Rats pull away and Brown Street Fly! Pitbulls and Team 40 would collide in the Fall Season opener and the game was a good one! Pitbulls would take a two goal lead only to see Team 40 tie the game early in the third. But less then a minute later Pitbulls captain Genero Soriano would come out of the corner and feed and open Jerry Margano with 9:21 left that would hold up to be the game winner. Bergen Beach would bomb the first with a three goal outburst provided by Finley, Breeder and Franklin Balsamo! The rest of the match would see two goals from each club as Bergen Beach would bag up a 5-2 win. Beach Rats and Wolf Pack would be involved in a one goal game heading into the final session of play but two Beach Rats third period goals off the stick of Mike McGrath would be the difference in the 5-2 victory. Brown street would also slug out the first with a four goal burst while scoring the first five of the game. NOMAAM would make things a little more interesting netting the next four of five goals scored but a little too late as Brown Street nabbed a 6-4 winner. Brown Street would see scoring from five different skaters as Kyle Gonnan hit two. The Season opener is in the Books! 9/9/15 Playoff Stats and Team Pages Updated!

9/9/15 Hansons & Dragons in OT Thrillers and Hatrick Swayze Proceed! The Regular season means nothing as you knew playoff hockey would bring the best out in teams as great Hockey was on display in the Bay last night! The Hansons and Zorros would trade lone goals through the first two periods of play as period three would see the same. When the regulation horn screamed silence the balance weighed in at an even two. But the Hansons Mike McGrath wasted no time to tip the scale entering the attack zone with a full head of steam and sling a wrister top shelf into the twine for an Hansons overtime win! Both goal keeps were out standing in this one getting nods for top stars but Hansons Chris Falco earns the number one with his stunning performance. The Dragons came out with the fire they had all season long and after a scoreless first they quickly built a 3-0 lead in period two and left the middle session up 3-1. Early in the third a young man celebrating his forty second birthday in Bob Munday finding the fountain of youth and recently roller blades would get filthy on his second goal of the night and giving his Dragons a three goal lead back! But OSS wasn't done in just yet as they stormed back for three unanswered goals sending our second straight playoff game into do or die! Also wasting no time the fountain of youth man Bobby "the Kid" Munday would turn around just a few feet in front of the net and step into one that broke the back of the net and a Dragons victory! Hatrick Swayze has looked the best I've seen them play all season long but how long did you think it would take these guys to play well with names like Galligan, Gambino, Pontillo and Ammeritto on the back of their jerseys? Knocking out the the number two seed Sam Pontillo and Thomas Galligan gelled well both hitting the back of the net twice and setting up two. Sawzye move on with a 6-3 winner and await their next challenger which will be either All In or the Dragons! Great night of playoff hockey in the Bay, we await the All In vs Bay Brewery match to reseed the contenders as we'll shoot for Tuesday, Wednesday next week. Playoff stats are being worked on at the moment, see you soon my compadres.

9/5/15 Playoff Schedule Posted!

9/5/15 Bay Brew Come Through and an All-Star Success!!! The Bay Brewery got some swag back like when they first saw their team on paper. The number one pick over all in Rob Alibrandi was on and did his thing posting up a 5 point night with a trick and two assists as the Brew Crew skated away with a 7-2 win. Bay Brew forward Ed Conte was also good with a hustle trick while goal keep Steve Shousky was a very solid pipe master! Bay Brewery will get to greet the undefeated ALL-IN next. We got a chance to meet up with ALL-IN captain Joey Ristano before Thursday nights All-Star game and he had alot to say about where his team was headed. (See the interview below) Our first Draft All-Star game kicked off the night and you saw the high speed action you expected with all the speed on the asphalt. Team All Kings were able to win each session by a goal and skate away with a 8-5 victory. Pitbulls forward Geroge Konstine had a hat-trick and two assists with his line mate Dragons forward Carl Marraco registering a a four point gem. Buckman, Budha and Pontillo also saw the mesh in the All Kings win. In the loss Team All Bay would see Johnny Maranda net two and the dynamic duo in Galeno and Carey hook up twice. Another thing you saw was frustration set in by the dynamic duo as it was the first time they were on the losing end of a game all season long! The night cap game had Joey Ristano of All In putting on the pads, waffle and glove getting the nod for pipe work. He did well not letting anything slide be his crease earning a shut out a rare feat in draft play a All-Star game no less. Old timers Jesse Hetzler and Mikey Byrnes hooked up twice both getting a goal and an assist! Great night in the Bay and if you were involved we are glad you were apart of the evening. Next up round one of the Draft League Playoffs. Schedule posted by mid afternoon in the meantime check out the pictures and video from All-Star evening.

8/30/15 Perfection In the Bay The ALL IN Way, Another Record Shattered, Pitbulls Lock the Second Seed and Hansons gain momentum! Playoffs Set! Joey Risatano Captain of All In put together a Killer Squad! Going into their final game of the season his men stood at 9-0 and quickly completed their mission of staying perfect on the season. In Thursday's game their second period slam of six goals would put the game out of reach and move on with a 8-3 win and a perfect 10-0 season! John Carey finished the game with a trick while Joey and Dave Kalman hooked up twice. But the assist on the second goal of the game by Matt Galeano would put himself in a new frontier! The Draft League record of 52 points in a single season broken! Setting a new bar he would finish the night with three points and the regular season with 55 points! Congratulations Matthew on a hell of a season as the new Draft League Scoring Champion. As a team All In has broken the regular season record of most goals scored! Putting up a whopping 92 goals on the season! I'll have to dig into the archives to see who's record they beat but i'm pretty sure it's a record that was held by the Dragons. The two teams tied for second place were the Pitbulls and Dragons and the two would be tied at two after two! But the Pitbulls George Konstine would net two in the final fifteen to finish off a hat-trick and a lock down of the second seed! The Hansons Matt Duffy was all business last Thursday with a five point night! Posting a trick and adding two assists the Hansons would stride out the regular season on a win thinking positive going into the second season. And on that we now have the first round of the playoffs nearly set! First off the Thrashers and Bay Brewery will meet in the 8 vs 9 match with the winner playing the undefeated and hungry scoring machine All In! The two seeded Pitbulls will meet the seventh seeded Hatrick Swayze with the three seeded Dragons facing off with six seed OSS! Hansons and Zorros will greet in the four vs five match up. All good contests in my favorite round of the playoffs. We'll kick off the play in game this Tuesday with the Thrashers and Bay Brewery as Round One will pick up next Tuesday. It's been a fun and entertaining Summer Draft. Final regular season stats will be posted later in the day! Week 9 Posted Below!

8/26/15 ALL IN All Business and a New Club Member, Thrashers Earn A Big W, Hatrick Swayze take Storm and Hansons Roll Hard! Well the game that was all cracked up to be wasn't to be! After a good first period of play All In kept to what they been doing all season long in winning and destroying Hockey games! After leaving period one up a goal they would belt period two with a five goal burst! Captain Joey Ristano was thinking about this game all day and made his performance count. Playing the snipe and set up roll he toasted off a hot trick while dishing off two! His number one pick did his thing as well and joined a rare club while tying the league record! Matthew Galeano would do the same as Joey did in the scoring department but his third point of the night entered him into the 50 point club joining Chris Brown, Alex Morozov and Steven Kelly! His 5th point of the night would equalize him with the leagues best record now tied with Christopher Brown at 52! Matt and company still have a game to play and look to close out a perfect regular season on Thursday night! It only took two short periods of play for Hatrick Swayze to dismantle the short staffed Bay Brew as the clobber show was on! Tom Galigan finished with a four goal night with Captain Bryan Ammaretti nailing a trick! The Hansons would roll hard controlling most of their contest as Chris Brown and Matt Duffy would both hit the back stop twice! Duffy's empty net from long distance range would end the match and a 5-2 win! James Celifarco wasn't playing games when he heard he had 3 games in two nights. He would let his frustration out on the mesh as he smashed a rabbit crushing a hat! Only Strong Survive would move out and beyond in a 6-4 win shop! Standings Updated stats over the weekend! One Night of Draft Hockey Left and we enter the second season!!!

8/21/15 Pitbulls, Dragons and Hansons Take Two, Hatrick Swayze get a Split decision and All In Strive to be Number One! The Pitbulls have also put up a string a victories and haven't lost since Week One! Putting up their sixth and seventh straight this week on Tuesday night they built a 5-1 lead after one but would find themselves in a one goal game with just 7:43 remaining! George Konstine and Genero Seriano would net the next two and close out win six. Win seven would see them locked at five after two as they would own the third out scoring their opponents 3-0 on goals from Jae Budha, Jerry Margano and Genero! Seven straight wins and 7-1 on the seasonal the Pitbulls do stand! Forget about win streaks team All In hasn't lost yet! Going eight for eight on the season this crew has been nothing less than a scoring machine! Putting up a league leading seventy six goals on the season last Thursday they would net nine! Out scoring their opponents by a goal in each period of play Matt "the magician" Galeano would add another six points to his dominating league lead at 47 as he stares down the fifty point club and the league record of fifty two points held by Christopher Brown. Matt has two games left to play! The Hansons would also take two wins this week putting themselves in the middle of the pack! Tuesday night would see Matt Duffy strike twice and Anthony Doreen pop his first Draft League goal between the pipes in a Hansons 5-3 win! On Thursday the Hansons would take a 4-3 lead into the third and then the ugliness would pursue. We stopped the game over the nonsense with 11:09 left in regulation and will not make the rest of this one up as it is official. Mike McGrath's second period goal for the Hansons stands as the game winner. Hatrick Swayze and OSS were involved in an interesting entertaining match between temporary friendly foes! In a game that saw a combined fifteen goals scored the teams involved would net their tallies in spurts. With Hatrick Swayze up 4-2, OSS would net the next four goals only to see Hatrick Swazye score the last five of the game! Mike Gambino of Swayze was good with a five point night four goals and an assist in the winner! Well, problems problems this week getting the write up live but here it is finally as I heard the feedback on facebook. Standings updated, stats on the way with a Week 8 posting!

Zorros and All In impressed as the Bay Brewery and the Thrashers match was the game of the night! 7/1/15 The Draft Hustle Went Down in the Bay last night and it was a Good One!!!! The Bay Brewery picked number one pick out the hat and choose the Rob Alibrandi and Joe Barker tag team. And looking at all the teams on paper this could be our best and strongest draft seasonal yet. Galeano went number one pick over all in draft and proved to be number one with his five goal eight point night effort having something to do with all eight of his teams goals scored. But his supporting cast was all there when they had to be including the last line of defense in goal keep Rob Halsey who made some stunning saves between the pipes at the ripe age of 46. The absence of the Dragons Mike Daskalakas hurt in the loss as he could of made a difference in this one with his quick stingy defense. 3/17/15 Dragons Power Home the Draft League Championship! The Dragon stampede took down title number seven in the Bay last night with an 8-5 winner! The Charlie Sbrigato lead franchise would lead by a goal with less than five minutes to play and see a man advantage. Capitalizing twice on the double minor Genero Soriano would be responsible for both! Finishing off his hat-trick and putting the frosting on the cake in the championship win! The Dragons would never trail in this one but would see two three goal leads get cut to one twice. With Genero putting up the trick, Charlie and Carl Marraco both put up two with Harry Nugressor adding a tally. Goal keeper Scotty Adelle gets to ride out of the Bay as a champion as he says he's hanging up the skates for good. It's been a hell of a career for the man in the Bay that started way back in the 80's stacking the pads with three draft league titles, two with the Dragons. We'll see if we can talk him out of retirement before this Thursday's Night's draft for the new season, ha! Mikey Byrne can add a draft league title to his resume as Jesse Hetlzer goes back to back in draft titles winning with the Bay Brewery last season and again with the Dragons. Mike Levitan gets a ring in his first season in the Bay as Mike Daskalakas gritty defense was a big part of the Dragons scheme in the Championship win. Hats Off Dragons Draft League Champions Winter 2014-15!
